On April 3, Mang Den Commune People's Committee said that the enterprise had planted the Nam My banana model in Dak Ke village, giving positive results. The commune expects to form a concentrated raw material area with export advantages.
This banana variety has been grown by Sam Ngoc Linh Kon Tum Joint Stock Company since 2024 with a total area of 64.91 ha, with about more than 136.3 thousand trees. Currently, it has been put into harvest from December 2025, the estimated yield is about 40 tons/ha, and the expected profit is about 96 million VND/ha.
Initial results show that this banana variety grows well, is suitable for the climate and soil conditions in Mang Den, and has stable yields.
South American bananas are grown in organic form, high-tech agriculture, serving exports to the Middle East, South Korea, Japan markets...

Very few high-tech agricultural enterprises have succeeded with this banana variety care model, due to the standards of care, organic fertilization, and irrigation that must comply with special conditions.
100 km from Mang Den, in Gia Lai there are hundreds of hectares of South American bananas for export of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group and Hung Son High-Tech Agriculture Company.
The vast, fertile land fund and low wind and storm weather create favorable conditions for these two businesses to expand production scale, with revenue of hundreds of millions of USD.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province requested the Mang Den commune government to focus on building agricultural product brands, planning suitable growing areas, thereby developing sustainable and stable agriculture for people and businesses.
In the future, the model of ecological and organic agriculture combined with tourism will create an impression, increasing the number of visitors to Mang Den - a place likened to the second Da Lat to experience and explore.
