On the afternoon of December 18, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations - head of the Emulation Cluster of socio-political organizations and union organizations - held a conference to review the emulation cluster's activities in 2024 and sign the emulation covenant for 2025 of the emulation cluster.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council - pointed out that at this time, the entire Party and the entire army, under the close, drastic and effective direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly, the Government, the Prime Minister, headed by General Secretary To Lam, are resolutely directing the summary of Resolution 18 and streamlining the apparatus to be lean - compact - strong, efficient - effective - efficient.
He expressed his hope that the bloc consisting of five socio-political organizations, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and three joint organizations "take the lead in propaganda, persuasion and mobilization to achieve consensus, solidarity and successful implementation of this campaign".
He emphasized: “I can affirm to you comrades: It cannot be otherwise. The people and the Party are very determined. The people are very supportive. The cadres, civil servants and public employees are supportive.”
He pointed out that in the meeting of all officials and employees of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on this matter, "no one had any other opinion, even accepting that they were moving from head to deputy, and that if there was no longer a job position, they could leave to do other work."
At the conference on the afternoon of December 18, 4 new models, good practices, and typical examples in the emulation work in 2024 were selected for presentation. Among them, Mr. Tran Van Nhu - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation Trade Union, representing the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - gave a speech on "Vietnam Airlines Corporation Trade Union innovates in organizing activities, emulation movements, and competitions to contribute to improving labor productivity".
Mr. Tran Van Nhu said that among the many achievements in 2024, the corporation has organized a preliminary summary of the emulation movement "Promoting research and development of information technology applications and promoting initiatives, technical improvements; practicing thrift, fighting waste", rewarding 26 collectives and 10 individuals for their initiatives.
Among these, there are many initiatives with a value of billions of VND such as: Initiative "Sponsoring experiences on flights and at VNA's Lotus Lounges", with a value of 85 billion VND; Initiative "Improving air conditioning equipment from using diesel generators to using 3-phase 380 V industrial power", with a value of 6.4 billion VND; Initiative "Solution to overcome the height difference between fixed floors and mobile floors of ladder blades" with a value of 3.3 billion VND"...
Also at the conference, the emulation cluster approved the proposal for rewards, unanimously awarded the emulation flag to the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and awarded certificates of merit to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.
