On the side of Quang Ninh province, there were Mr. Quan Minh Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of businesses and investors.
At the conference, Quang Ninh province announced the Adjustment of Quang Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050, approved by the Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 2139/QD-UBND dated June 18, 2026.
Announcing the General Urban Plan of Quang Ninh to 2050, vision to 2075, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1123/QD-TTg dated June 23, 2026; announcing the decision that Quang Ninh is a type I urban area.
The conference also informed about the General Plan of Quang Yen Coastal Economic Zone, Quang Ninh province to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 828/QD-TTg dated May 11, 2026; information on the Planning of Van Don Airport as Van Don International Airport approved by the Minister of Construction in Decision No. 657/QD-TTg dated May 6, 2026.
Within the framework of the conference, Quang Ninh province awarded investment policy approval decisions and investment registration certificates to 18 projects with a total investment capital of nearly 45,000 billion VND.
The projects focus on the fields of industrial park infrastructure, urban areas, logistics, energy, processing industry, tourism, high-tech agriculture and seaport infrastructure.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Hong Minh - Minister of Construction - assessed that the announced strategic plans are an important basis for Quang Ninh to reorganize its development space, promote its potential and advantages in terms of sea, borders, heritage and modern infrastructure.
The Minister of Construction requested Quang Ninh province to urgently concretize plans with key programs, plans, and projects; develop urban areas in a green, smart, and sustainable direction; invest in synchronous technical infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, and digital infrastructure.
The Minister also reminded the province to strengthen architectural and landscape management, protect the environment, preserve heritage values; link economic development with ensuring national defense and security.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Bui Van Khang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee - thanked the leadership and direction of the Central Government, the Government, and the Prime Minister; the coordination and support of the Ministry of Construction, ministries, departments, central agencies, consulting units, the business community and people in the process of building and completing the province's strategic plans.
Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the province will urgently concretize the plans into key programs, plans, and projects; promote digitization, publicize planning; continue to improve the investment environment, and mobilize social resources.
Also in the afternoon of June 30, Quang Ninh province organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the social housing project for rent in Uong Bi ward and the concentrated aquaculture area project in Co To special zone.
