The Congress was attended by Comrade Nghiem Thuy Lan, President of Petrovietnam Trade Union; leaders of Petrovietnam Trade Union departments.
On the side of PV GAS, there were comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, member of the Petrovietnam Party Committee, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD); comrade Pham Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director; comrades in the Party Committee, Board of Directors, Board of Directors, Veterans Association, Youth Union; especially the participation of 81 delegates, representing more than 4,000 union members and workers from 16 grassroots unions under the PV GAS Trade Union.
Ahead of the Congress, PV GAS Trade Union launched a fundraising campaign to support people in the Central - Central Highlands affected by floods, collecting 54 million VND, demonstrating the spirit of sharing "The meaning of PV GAS".
The report at the Congress showed that in the 2023-2025 term, PV GAS Trade Union has completed all 16/16 targets, of which 7 targets exceeded the plan; many contents were completed 1-2 years early. The Trade Union organization achieved outstanding results with 500 initiatives, 100% of employees were cared for for their rights and welfare, 50 union members were admitted to the Party, maintained internal solidarity and spread effective emulation movements.
These results continue to affirm the pioneering and creative role of PV GAS's staff and union members, contributing to building the image of employees "Courage - Intelligence - Creativity - Loyalty", creating momentum for the development of the Corporation.
Entering the 2025-2030 term with many new opportunities and challenges, PV GAS Trade Union aims to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation; enhance digital transformation; improve dialogue - collective bargaining capacity; accompany the professional team to build a team of employees "Responsible - Professional - Creative - Humanitarian"; actively contribute to PV GAS development strategy in the energy transition period.
Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh - Member of the Petrovietnam Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PV GAS highly appreciated and affirmed that PV GAS Trade Union operates actively and effectively, always accompanying employees to encourage sharing, go behind to promote, go ahead to lead union members and always accompany the construction of a Corporation to develop strongly, pioneering in leading the Vietnamese energy and gas industry, as one of Petrovietnam's key units.
He emphasized the important role of the Trade Union and requested the PV GAS Trade Union to continue to innovate, improve quality and efficiency of operations; build a strong trade union system, exemplary union members; attach importance to caring for and protecting the rights of employees; enhance dialogue and collective bargaining, and build harmonious labor relations. Thereby, the Trade Union accompanies the Corporation to successfully implement the development strategy for the period 2025-2030.
Comrade Nghiem Thuy Lan, Chairwoman of Petrovietnam Trade Union, praised the outstanding role of PV GAS Trade Union in the impressive achievements over the past 35 years of the Corporation's development, and highly appreciated the PV GAS Trade Union's continuous leadership in the movements of the Group's Trade Union.
Entering the new term with the requirements of green transformation, digital transformation, expanding the field of operation and double-digit growth target, along with many challenges for employees and trade union organizations in the context of business restructuring and the strong impact of technology - artificial intelligence, comrade suggested that PV GAS Trade Union continue to promote the achieved results. Trade unions need to focus on performing well the core task of representing, caring for, and protecting employees; contributing to building a high-quality workforce; leading the innovation movement - technical innovation; building a creative culture; strengthening strong grassroots trade unions; innovating methods of operation and improving governance capacity. Thereby, building the PV GAS Trade Union organization to be increasingly professional and modern, worthy of the trust of employees and continuing to be the leading flag in the Petrovietnam Trade Union movement.
The Congress elected 15 comrades to the Executive Committee of the 5th term and elected a delegation to attend the 8th Petrovietnam Trade Union Congress. Comrade Tran Xuan Thanh continues to be trusted as Chairman of PV GAS Trade Union; Vice Chairmen include Le Phuoc Khoi and Trinh Van Minh.
With the motto of action "Little talk - Many thoughts - Many things - fast - High efficiency", along with the spirit of "One team - One goal" and according to the theme of the Congress "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", all cadres, union members and workers of PV GAS are united, efforts, creativity, striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the 5th Congress, contributing to building PV GAS for sustainable development, for the benefit of workers and the prosperity of the Vietnam National Industrial - Energy Group.
