Quitting a job with a salary of 20 million VND/month to start a business
In 2010, after graduating with a degree in Biology from the University of Science (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. Dinh Tien Dang was recruited by an agricultural company with a stable salary.

After nearly 8 years of working, graduate Dinh Tien Dang decided to quit his job, giving up his salary of about 20 million VND/month to return to Da Lat to start a business. This decision once surprised many relatives and friends.
However, with professional knowledge and accumulated experience, he believes he can develop a modern agricultural model.
From accumulated capital and loans from relatives and friends, he rented land in Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat to grow strawberries, chili peppers and many types of vegetables and tubers in the direction of applying high technology.
In the early days of starting a business, he invested in greenhouses, automatic irrigation systems, seedlings and completed the production process.

Thanks to applying techniques to cultivation, crops have developed stably, and products meet market requirements.
With profits from the first production crops, he continued to expand the area and diversify crops.
Earning nearly 200 million VND per month from high-tech agriculture
Currently, Mr. Dang cultivates about 8,000m2 with many types of crops such as strawberries, pumpkins, cucumbers, chili peppers and short-term vegetables.

The entire area is produced in the direction of high-tech agriculture to improve productivity, quality control and reduce labor costs.
He said that strawberries are supplied directly to the supermarket system, while clean vegetables and tubers are distributed to many stores in Da Lat.
Strawberries are currently sold at prices from 120,000-150,000 VND/kg. Along with other vegetables and tubers, the model brings in revenue of nearly 200 million VND per month," Mr. Dang shared.
Not only bringing stable income to families, the model also creates regular jobs for 8 local workers with salaries from 7-9 million VND/person/month.

Mr. Ha Duc Trang, a worker at the farm, said that his daily work is harvesting strawberries and vegetables, tubers, and fruits.
To ensure the quality and freshness of agricultural products, harvesting is carried out from early morning according to the technical procedures instructed by Mr. Dang," said Mr. Trang.
According to Mr. Dang, to produce high-tech agriculture effectively, farmers must regularly update techniques, grasp market demand and build stable outputs.
Linking with businesses to consume from the beginning helps limit price risks and improve production efficiency.
In the coming time, he plans to link with businesses to expand production areas, and at the same time deploy a passion fruit growing model in the Don Duong area to diversify products, improve production value and develop agriculture according to a sustainable linkage chain.
