On October 27, 2025, at the agency's headquarters, the Customs Department organized the opening of a training course on "Digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in real-life public administration" for civil servants in the entire industry.
According to Ms. Truong Nha Trang - Deputy Head of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Customs Department, in the context of the strong 4th industrial revolution, digital transformation is not only an inevitable trend but also an urgent requirement in the process of modernizing the state administration, building a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus.
In that process, Vietnam Customs is one of the pioneers in applying information technology and administrative reform, with the implementation of many modern systems such as VNACCS/VCIS, National One-Stop Portal and ASEAN, contributing to shortening customs clearance time, reducing costs for businesses and improving transparency in state management.
However, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data, cloud computing and process automation (RPA), public administration in general and the operations of the Customs sector in particular are entering a deeper transformation phase.
In that context, raising awareness, digital skills and the ability to apply AI in practical work becomes an urgent requirement for every officer and civil servant in the Customs sector, in order to meet the requirements of modern, professional and effective management.
The training course "Digital transformation and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in public administration" will be held for 3 days, from October 27 to October 29, 2025.
Through the program, students are equipped with updated knowledge on digital transformation, AI and new technology trends; at the same time, they better understand the role of technology in administrative management, personnel organization, and human resource management. In particular, the class focuses on practicing practical skills in applying AI to daily work, contributing to improving the effectiveness of public service enforcement in the entire Customs sector.
