On August 16, at Vo Nguyen Giap street (Tan Lap ward, Dak Lak province), the Organizing Committee of the Guinness record-setting program "World's Longest Durian Pickup Truck Convoy" held a record certificate awarding ceremony, marking a special journey with the participation of more than 500 durian pickup trucks.
Previously, from Tan An Square (Krong Pac commune), a convoy of durian pickup trucks lined up to depart, heading towards the central area of the province along Vo Nguyen Giap road.
Along the route, a large number of people and tourists gathered to watch the parade. Hundreds of pickup trucks carrying durian fruits from the growing areas created an impressive image, attracting the attention of people and tourists.
After the journey ended, the Organizing Committee honored more than 500 drivers participating in the program, and at the same time expressed gratitude to sponsors, businesses and companion units.
At the ceremony, Ms. Sohn Minyoung, Official Judge of Guinness World Records, representative of Guinness World Records, announced and awarded the Guinness Certificate "World's Longest Durian Pickup Truck Convoy" to the Organizing Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Anh Trung, Chairman of Dak Lak Durian Association, thanked businesses, sponsors, philanthropists and individuals for joining hands to create the program.
According to Mr. Trung, setting a record not only creates an impression in the country but also aims to promote the Dak Lak brand to the world. The team of more than 500 durian pickup trucks shows the spirit of solidarity and joint efforts of people, businesses and the community in promoting the key agricultural products of the locality.
The establishment of the Guinness record is considered one of the outstanding highlights of the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026, contributing to promoting the local image, enhancing the brand value of durian and expanding opportunities to access domestic and international markets.
Through this, the program contributes to spreading the aspiration to bring durian in particular and Dak Lak agricultural products in general to reach further, affirming their position in the international market.
