Hung Yen - Hung Yen is considering proposing a high-tech pig farming complex and a food processing plant, with a total capital of about 3,000 billion VND.

On the afternoon of July 9, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen - Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with BAF Vietnam Agriculture Joint Stock Company on the proposal to invest in a high-tech multi-layered pig farm and circular agriculture complex project in the province.

According to the business, the livestock complex project is expected to have a scale of about 220 - 250ha, including about 30ha for farm construction and 190 - 220ha for circular agriculture development, with a total investment of about 2,000 billion VND.

The project is invested according to a closed process, applying modern technology and automation from breeding, animal husbandry to commercial pig sales.

Compared to the traditional model, multi-layered livestock helps save land funds, reduce feed and labor costs, improve management efficiency, control diseases better, and reduce environmental impact through waste treatment systems and reusing by-products according to the circular economy model.

Along with the livestock complex, BAF Vietnam Agriculture Joint Stock Company also proposed to invest in BAF Hung Yen Food Processing Plant on an area of about 6-8ha, with a total estimated capital of about 1,000 billion VND.

The factory is oriented to become a key food processing center of Hanoi Capital Region, Hung Yen province and the Red River Delta region, contributing to the formation of a closed linkage chain from animal husbandry, processing to product consumption.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment and related units to review the planning, propose suitable and convenient locations for transportation and raw material areas; guide businesses to complete investment procedures so that the project can be implemented soon according to regulations.
