On many major roads in Ho Chi Minh City, car washes are fully booked from morning to night. Motorbikes and cars enter and exit continuously, many customers have to queue to wait. According to shop owners, at this time, the number of customers has doubled, even tripled compared to normal days.
In addition to basic car washing, services such as polishing, interior cleaning or technical inspection are also chosen by many people to "renovate" vehicles before the new year.

Waiting for his turn to wash his car at a shop on Pham Van Dong street, Mr. Dao Thanh Tung (Linh Xuan ward) said that cleaning cars before Tet has become a habit.
At the end of the year, after cleaning the house, I take advantage of taking the car to wash. The car is clean, going out for Tet or returning to the countryside are more comfortable. However, because there are many customers, the waiting time is also longer," Mr. Tung shared.

No less vibrant, hair salons and nail salons are also operating at full capacity. Many stores are crowded with customers from morning to night, especially in the afternoon and evening. Employees almost have no time to rest, continuously cutting, perming, dyeing hair or taking care of nails for customers.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh (Binh Thanh ward) said that although she had to wait quite a long time, she still took advantage of going to do nail art before Tet. "At the end of the year, everyone wants to look neater and fresher. The salon is very crowded, this is almost indispensable every Tet occasion. I have to book appointments a week in advance, even asking many places to find salons with free hours" - Ms. Linh shared.

According to salon owners, the demand for beauty is increasing sharply because people are preparing for meetings, spring trips, photography or returning to their hometowns. Many stores have to increase working hours, accept late customers, and even work overnight to serve in time.
Mr. Minh Tuan - owner of a hair salon in Xuan Hoa ward - said that the days leading up to Tet are always the busiest period of the year. "About a week before Tet, the number of customers starts to increase rapidly, some days it is several times more crowded than usual. Employees have to work continuously, almost full schedule, unable to receive individual services such as haircuts or shampooing. Although it is more difficult, everyone tries their best because this is the time when customers have the highest demand" - Mr. Tuan shared.
Although service prices in some places have been slightly adjusted, many customers are still willing to pay. For them, taking care of appearance and means of transportation is not only to welcome Tet but also to have a more neat and smooth start to the new year.
