A group of Chinese enterprises learn about the investment environment in Hung Yen

Hung Yen - Provincial leaders worked with the delegation of Chinese enterprises to introduce the investment environment and exchange cooperation opportunities in many fields.

On July 9, Mr. Nguyen Le Huy - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province chaired a working session between the Provincial People's Committee and Next Group Trading and Investment Group Joint Stock Company and a number of Chinese enterprises led by Ms. Geng Ruiling - Head of the Advisory Board of the Center for Research and Development, Ministry of National Defense of China.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Le Huy presented an overview of Hung Yen's potential and strengths, emphasizing the province's strategic location in the center of the Northern Delta, in the Northern key economic region. Hung Yen has abundant human resources, with a workforce of more than 1.72 million people, accounting for about 54% of the population. Currently, the whole province has over 25,000 operating enterprises, employing about 580,000 workers.

In the first 6 months of 2025, Hung Yen province attracted 82 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of 1,218 million USD and adjusted capital increase for 49 projects, with a total additional capital of 190 million USD - this is the highest level ever, raising the total newly granted and adjusted investment capital to 1,408 million USD.

Currently, the province is focusing on calling for and attracting investment in the fields of: industry - infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters; high-tech agriculture; trade - logistics services; urban development, housing, especially ecological urban areas, resorts, service urban areas; transportation, healthcare, high-tech waste treatment... The province also pays special attention to the orientation of developing the marine economic space through key projects in Thai Binh Economic Zone.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the interest, research, and discovery of investment opportunities of the Chinese business delegation; affirmed that Hung Yen province is always ready to welcome and create the most favorable conditions for international investors to survey and implement the project. The provincial leaders pledged to accompany businesses and proactively remove difficulties and obstacles throughout the investment and implementation process.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Geng Ruiling and representatives of Chinese enterprises expressed their impression of the development potential of Hung Yen province. The delegation also shared about the history, fields of activities and investment orientation in fields such as new energy, renewable energy, artificial intelligence (AI), green agricultural product development, building medicinal plant areas, etc. At the same time, they expressed their desire to increase exchanges and exchanges to move towards specific investment cooperation in the coming time.

The two sides had a frank discussion on a number of contents related to preferential policies for FDI investors in Hung Yen, aiming to build a transparent, effective and sustainable investment environment.
