According to Hung Yen Provincial Statistics, as of August 26, 2025, the whole Hung Yen province has 904 foreign-invested projects in operation, with a total registered capital of 16,216.40 million USD. Of which, from the beginning of the year to August 26, 97 new projects were granted licenses, with a total registered capital of 1,604.82 million USD. The countries with the most investment are Japan with 189 projects, capital of 6,112.50 million USD (37.69%), China with 337 projects, capital of 4,304.33 million USD (26.54%), and Korea with 204 projects, capital of 2,175.47 million USD (13.42%).
Regarding enterprises, from July 22 to August 21, the whole province established 767 new enterprises, with a total registered capital of VND 10,700 billion. Of which, 193 enterprises operate in the processing and manufacturing industry, with a capital of VND 2,945 billion; 338 enterprises selling, retailing, and repairing cars and motorbikes, with a capital of VND 1,112 billion; 33 real estate businesses, with a capital of VND 2,718 billion; 56 transportation and warehousing businesses, with a capital of VND 241 billion; 26 enterprises operating in expertise, science and technology, with a capital of VND 77 billion; 7 education and training enterprises, with a capital of VND 13 billion.
In August, 57 enterprises returned to operation after a period of suspension. The number of dissolved enterprises is 68, temporarily suspended from business is 100. The processing, manufacturing and retail industries account for the highest proportion of dissolved and temporarily suspended enterprises, showing that these sectors are highly competitive but also face many challenges in business.
The overview shows that Hung Yen province's economy in August continued to develop stably, attracting foreign investment and developing enterprises, and also reflected that some industries need support to maintain operations.
