VNG's game revenue reaches VND1,639 billion from the international market

Game is still VNG's main business segment in 2024 with revenue from the international market reaching VND 1,639 billion.

On April 3, VNG Joint Stock Company (VNG) announced the audited financial results for fiscal year 2024. Of which, the unit's net revenue increased by 22% to VND 9,273 billion; net loss after tax was VND 1,180 billion and contribution to the state budget was VND 1,114 billion.

One of VNG's major transformations in 2024 is investing in AI (artificial intelligence), focusing on infrastructure, platforms and applications, achieving high efficiency.

For example, in terms of infrastructure, the first large -scale AI cloud data center in Southeast Asia in Bangkok, cooperating to develop with NVIDIA and St Telemedia Global Data Center, officially opened in June 2024, bringing hundreds of billion dong in the first months.

AI has become a key factor in VNG's entire application ecosystem, with 20% of Zalo's monthly users actively using AI services. Kiki Auto voice assistant reached the milestone of 1 million installed cars (equivalent to 20% of the car market share in Vietnam).

VNGGames recorded revenue of VND 7,233 billion, of which VND 1,639 billion came from international markets.

Meanwhile, Zalo continues to affirm its position as the leading digital platform in Vietnam with 77.7 million monthly users and records stable growth of new revenue sources. The Mini App ecosystem has become an important growth driver with 31 million regular users per month.

Zalopay has developed into a powerful payment platform, serving 16 million users, 52,000 partners and 81,000 payment points nationwide. Total payment volume increased by 39%, while revenue from financial services skyrocketed by 149%...
