Hung Yen - After the merger, many large-scale industrial projects are being implemented in Hung Yen, opening up strong economic development prospects.

In recent years, with support from the Central Government, the two provinces of Hung Yen and the former Thai Binh have proactively mobilized many resources to invest in developing industrial - service infrastructure. After the merger, the new Hung Yen province is expected to continue to promote the advantages of both regions, promoting investment attraction through key projects.

Notable among them is VSIP Thai Binh Industrial Park, which is under construction with a scale of 333 hectares, with a total investment of more than VND 4,900 billion. The project is invested by Vietnam - Singapore Urban and Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company (VSIP). Starting construction at the end of March 2025, this industrial park promises to become an important unit in shifting the economic structure, creating more budget revenue and jobs for the locality.

In Hung Yen, a pharmaceutical - biological industrial park with an area of over 290 hectares is also being promoted. The project has a total investment of about VND 3,800 billion, expected to attract 8090 enterprises in the pharmaceutical and applied biology sector, not only serving domestic needs but also aiming for export. When put into operation, this industrial park will create jobs for about 18,000 workers.

Notably, the new Hung Yen province is also the place to implement the 1,500 MW LNG Thermal Power Plant Project, with a total investment of about 2 billion USD. The project is implemented by a consortium of investors including: Tokyo Gas Company Limited, Kyuden International Group and Truong Thanh Vietnam Industrial Joint Stock Company. It is expected that in the third quarter of 2025, the investor will receive land handover and start construction of main items such as operation centers, transport infrastructure, etc.

The LNG Thermal Power Plant project not only contributes to ensuring national energy security but is also expected to be an important " lever" to promote the province's socio-economic development, contributing to GRDP growth, creating jobs and attracting many new investors.
