The reason for the price of coffee increased sharply
Coffee exports from the two largest manufacturing countries in the world, Brazil and Vietnam have decreased significantly compared to the same period last year. Specifically, Brazil's coffee export in March reached 2.95 million bags, down 26.4% over the same period last year. By the end of the first quarter, Brazil exported a total of 9.58 million bags, down 14%. In Vietnam, the amount of coffee exported in the first quarter of 2025 plummeted 15.6%.
However, the US Dollar Index (DXY) measured the fluctuations of green copper with 6 main currencies decreased by 0.46%, to 99.64, nearly the lowest in 3 years. The weakness of the dollar has promoted short -selling purchases in the coffee market, contributing to pushing prices up.
Information about dry, hot weather is formed in Brazil's coffee growing areas is a cause of the strong coffee price. Unfortunate weather conditions can affect the productivity and quality of coffee in the next crop
