Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vien, Director of PM Coffee Company Limited, said that since the beginning of 2025, the company's business operations have been stable, exporting about 120 tons of coffee to the Middle East every day. In more than two months, the company has exported 7,200 tons, a sharp increase compared to the previous year. However, Mr. Vien emphasized that coffee prices fluctuate unpredictably, not following a fixed cycle, forcing businesses to have many response scenarios.
At Dak Lak 2-9 Import-Export Company Limited (Simexco Daklak), in January 2025, the unit exported more than 9,500 tons of coffee, exceeding the plan by 9%, with estimated revenue of more than VND 1,000 billion. From 2020-2024, the company achieved an export turnover of more than 1 billion USD, much higher than the target of 750 million USD.
According to Mr. Le Duc Huy, Chairman of the Board of Members of Simexco Daklak, the success of the unit comes from investing in raw material areas, supporting farmers with care techniques, managing the supply chain and processing right in the growing area, helping to reduce logistics costs and improve product quality.
Data from the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak province shows that in 2024, the province will export 241,000 tons of coffee, reaching a turnover of more than 1.8 billion USD, an increase of 23.9% compared to 2023, leading the Central Highlands region.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hoai Duong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dak Lak, the improvement in coffee exports is a positive sign, but businesses should not be subjective. Price fluctuations, international competition and increasingly high quality requirements require a long-term strategy.
Supporting farmers with seeds, techniques and fertilizers will help improve coffee quality, meeting export standards. Close cooperation between farmers and businesses helps build a sustainable value chain, enhancing the position of Vietnamese coffee in the international market.
Mr. Luu Van Khoi, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak province, said that by 2025, the province has set an export turnover target of 1.7 billion USD. To achieve this target, the province will reform administration, simplify procedures, support businesses in overcoming difficulties, and at the same time enhance online public services, creating favorable conditions for agricultural exports.
