Retail gas prices by region
Petrolimex gas prices today recorded opposite trends between regions across the country. While the North and Central regions simultaneously reduced prices compared to the previous period, the Southern market showed a slight upward trend in some localities.
In the North, Petrolimex gas prices in Hanoi are currently listed at 578,664 VND for 12kg cylinders and 2,314,656 VND for 48kg cylinders, down 19,440 VND and 77,760 VND respectively compared to the previous period. In Hai Phong, the price of 12kg cylinders also decreased to 578,664 VND, down 17,496 VND; while 48kg cylinders are sold at 2,350,944 VND, down 77,760 VND.
In the Central region, gas prices in Da Nang continue to adjust downwards. Currently, 12kg gas cylinders are listed at 567,000 VND, down 20,000 VND compared to before. 48kg cylinders are also down 80,000 VND, down to 2,183,000 VND.
Contrary to the downward trend in the North and Central regions, the Southern market recorded a slight increase. In Ho Chi Minh City, Petrolimex gas prices are currently maintained at 592,000 VND for 12kg cylinders and 2,364,000 VND for 48kg cylinders. Meanwhile, in Can Tho, the price of 12kg cylinders increased by another 5,000 VND to 555,000 VND, and 48kg cylinders increased by 20,000 VND to 2,220,000 VND.
In general, today's retail gas prices show a clear differentiation between regions. While the North and Central regions simultaneously adjusted down with common levels from more than 17,000 VND to 20,000 VND for 12kg cylinders and from nearly 78,000 VND to 80,000 VND for 48kg cylinders, the Southern region recorded a slight upward trend in some localities. This reflects the difference in distribution and transportation costs and price policies between regions in the current gas market.

Retail gas prices by brand
Gas prices today according to major brands recorded mixed developments between regions. While some businesses adjusted prices down in the North, the Southern market showed a slight upward trend.
Specifically, Petrolimex in Hanoi currently lists the price of 12kg gas cylinders at 578,664 VND, down 19,440 VND compared to the previous period. For the 48kg industrial cylinder line, the selling price decreased by 77,760 VND, down to 2,314,656 VND/cylinder.
Notably, PV GAS also recorded a clear difference between the two major markets. In Hanoi, the price of a 12kg gas cylinder is currently at 610,204 VND, down 396 VND/cylinder; while a 45kg cylinder decreased by 1,485 VND, down to 2,288,265 VND/cylinder. Conversely, in Ho Chi Minh City, the gas price increased by another 5,000 VND for a 12kg cylinder, to 672,081 VND/cylinder. The 45kg cylinder also increased by 18,765 VND, to 2,520,274 VND/cylinder.
For SAIGON PETRO, the enterprise continues to maintain a stable price level. Currently, a 12kg gas cylinder is listed at 639,500 VND/cylinder, while a 45kg cylinder is kept at 2,399,000 VND/cylinder.
Meanwhile, Pacific Petro continues to be a brand with high selling prices in the survey group. The current price of a 12kg gas cylinder is 677,000 VND/cylinder, while a 45kg cylinder is listed at 2,509,000 VND/cylinder.
In general, the retail gas market is differentiated by region and brand. Petrolimex sharply reduced prices in the North, while PV GAS slightly decreased in Hanoi but increased in Ho Chi Minh City. This makes the gas price level between businesses continue to maintain a significant gap, reflecting differences in distribution costs and business policies in each market.
