Recorded on the afternoon of April 25, the domestic retail gas market continued to maintain a sideways state after previous adjustments, with stable price levels but the difference between regions becoming increasingly apparent.
In the North, the price movement is almost unchanged. Hanoi continues to hold the level of 598.104 VND for 12kg cylinders and 2,464.992 VND for 48kg cylinders. Meanwhile, Hai Phong also maintains a "freeze" price state, with 12kg cylinders at 596.160 VND and 48kg cylinders at 2,462.400 VND. The narrow fluctuation range shows that the market is in a accumulation phase, and no new adjustment momentum has appeared.
The Central region continues to be the region with the lowest and most stable price level among major cities. In Da Nang, the price of a 12kg gas cylinder remained unchanged at 560,000 VND, while a 48kg cylinder maintained at 2,179,000 VND. After the previous deep decrease, the market here is entering a short-term balanced state.
In the South, the trend is stable, with a slight adjustment. In Ho Chi Minh City, the price of 12kg cylinders is maintained at 592,000 VND and 48kg cylinders are 2,364,000 VND. Notably, Can Tho still maintains its "low price zone" position when 12kg cylinders are only about 550,000 VND, creating a significant gap compared to major consumption centers.
Not only differentiated by area, the market also recorded clear differences between brands. Petrolimex's gas price continued to be kept stable at 629. 208 VND/12kg cylinder, almost "fixed high" compared to the general level and unchanged compared to the session on April 23. This shows that key businesses are still cautious and have not adjusted prices in the context that input costs and the world market have not fluctuated strongly enough.
Overall, the gas market is in a controlled stable state, with an increasingly clear trend of differentiation by region and distribution system. In the short term, if there is no shock from world energy prices, the price level is likely to continue to maintain the state of "sideways but off-zone" as it is now.

Domestic gas prices by brand
The retail gas price level today continues to maintain a stable state at major brands, not recording any fluctuations compared to the most recent trading sessions.
Petrolimex is still fluctuating at 629,208 VND for 12kg cylinders and 2,516,832 VND for 48kg cylinders (industrial type). Maintaining high and stable prices shows that the key enterprise has not adjusted in the context that the market has not seen new volatility factors.
In the high price group, Saigon Petro continued to list a 12kg cylinder at 654,500 VND and a 45kg cylinder at 2,455,000 VND. Meanwhile, Pacific Petro maintained the same level of 650,000 VND/12kg cylinder and 2,408,000 VND/45kg cylinder, unchanged compared to the previous day, reflecting a short-term supply-demand balance.
Notably, PV GAS recorded a clear differentiation by region. In Hanoi, the price of a 12kg cylinder is 610,200 VND and a 45kg cylinder is 2,288,250 VND, significantly lower than many other brands. Conversely, in Ho Chi Minh City, the selling price is higher at 640,081 VND/12kg cylinder and 2,400,259 VND/45kg cylinder, reflecting the difference in transportation costs and the characteristics of the Southern market.
Although the price level between brands continues to be sideways, the difference between each distribution system and region is still significant. In this context, closely monitoring prices by brand and area will help consumers and business households be more proactive in choosing sources of supply and optimizing costs.
