In the North, gas prices on April 23 continued to maintain a sideways state after previous adjustments. Specifically, in Hanoi, the price of a 12kg cylinder remained stable at 598.104 VND, while a 48kg cylinder remained at 2,464.992 VND. In Hai Phong, the price level also did not record new fluctuations, with a 12kg cylinder maintained at 596.160 VND and a 48kg cylinder at 2,462.400 VND, showing that the market is in a stage of accumulation with a narrow amplitude.
The Central region continues to record stable developments. In Da Nang, the price of 12kg cylinders remained unchanged at 560,000 VND, while 48kg cylinders maintained at 2,179,000 VND, with no new adjustment factors after previous decreases.
In the South, the general price level has no fluctuations in major cities. In Ho Chi Minh City, the price of a 12kg cylinder is maintained at 592,000 VND and a 48kg cylinder is 2,364,000 VND. Meanwhile, Can Tho continues to be the locality with the lowest price in the country, with a 12kg cylinder of about 550,000 VND, creating a significant difference compared to major consumption centers.
In general, the domestic gas market is moving in a stable direction but still differentiated by region and distribution system. Notably, Petrolimex's retail gas price continues to remain unchanged, with a 12kg cylinder listed at 629,208 VND, unchanged compared to the session on April 21, reflecting the "price-fixing" trend of key enterprises in the context that the market has not seen clear input fluctuations.

Domestic gas prices by brand
Petrolimex gas price on April 22 continued to maintain a stable state, with a 12kg cylinder at 629,208 VND and a 48kg cylinder (industrial type) at 2,516,832 VND. The price level has not changed for many consecutive sessions, showing that this key enterprise has not been under pressure to adjust new input costs, and at the same time reflects the "price-fixing" trend of the market.
In other brand groups, Saigon Petro still maintains the same higher price than the general level, with a 12kg cylinder listed at 654,500 VND and a 45kg cylinder reaching 2,455,000 VND. This is a price group with a certain difference, mainly due to differences in the distribution system and logistics costs.
Similarly, Pacific Petro has also not recorded new fluctuations, when the price of a 12kg cylinder is maintained at 650,000 VND and a 45kg cylinder is 2,408,000 VND. The fact that many brands are holding prices together shows that the market is in a short-term supply-demand balance, and no clear adjustment signals have appeared.
Notably, PV GAS continues to record price differentiation between regions. In Hanoi, a 12kg cylinder is listed at 610.200 VND and a 45kg cylinder is 2,288.250 VND - belonging to the lower price group on the market.
Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, the price is significantly higher, with a 12kg cylinder at 640,081 VND and a 45kg cylinder reaching 2,400,259 VND. This difference reflects the impact of transportation and storage costs as well as the specific consumption characteristics between the two regions.
In general, although gas prices between brands have not had major fluctuations, differentiation is still maintained at a significant level by region and distribution system. Closely monitoring price movements by brand will help consumers and business households be more proactive in choosing sources of supply and optimizing costs in the context that the energy market still has many potential fluctuations.
