Domestic gas prices
According to records on the morning of April 8, retail gas prices in the country have not shown new fluctuations after the adjustment increase from the beginning of April.
In the Northern region, the price of 12kg gas cylinders in Hanoi is currently about 629,208 VND, while in Hai Phong it is commonly around 6389,28 VND/cylinder. For 48kg cylinders, the price ranges from about 2.51–2.54 million VND/cylinder depending on the region and distribution system.
In the Central region, the gas price in Da Nang is commonly around 596,000 VND/12kg cylinder. Prices in localities may vary depending on transportation costs and distribution networks.
According to LPG businesses, after the adjustment on April 1, the current gas price level continues to be stable but still remains at a high level compared to the previous period.

World energy prices continue to put pressure on gas prices
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), global fuel prices may continue to remain high for the next few months even if the Strait of Hormuz is fully reopened.
In the short-term energy outlook report, EIA forecasts that the average spot price of Brent oil this year could reach about 96 USD/barrel, a significant increase compared to the previous forecast of 78.84 USD/barrel.
The agency believes that the complete restoration of oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz may take months from the end of the conflict, making global energy supplies unlikely to return to normal soon.
EIA also emphasized that the factor of supply uncertainty will continue to maintain "risk premiums" in the oil market throughout the forecast period.
In that context, analysts believe that the diễn biến of world energy prices will continue to be an important factor dominating the domestic gas price level in the coming time, especially when Vietnam is still significantly dependent on imported LPG sources.
Retail gas prices are for reference only, and may vary depending on the region and distribution enterprise.
