On September 9, information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lang Son province said that in the 2025 crop season, Lang Son farmers will continue to enter the harvest season with a stable area but output will decrease slightly compared to the same period, the main reason being the impact of Typhoon Yagi in 2024.
According to data from the agricultural sector, the total area of upland planted in the province reached 4,595 hectares, equal to 100.21% over the same period, of which the area for harvesting is about 4,010 hectares
However, the yield is only about 100 quintals/ha, the estimated output is 40,000 tons, equal to 97.4% compared to the previous year. The main reason is that Typhoon Yagi in 2024 broke and dumped many areas. People have urgently replanted the trees, but the trees have not given stable productivity as at first.
This year, Na's selling price decreased by 10-15% compared to the same period. Specifically, some types are 1 50,000 - 60,000 VND/kg; some are 25,000 - 30,000 VND/kg; some are 3: 10,000 - 15,000 VND/kg.
Despite the decrease in prices, the total estimated economic value is still over VND1,500 billion, affirming that Na continues to be the main crop that brings important income to thousands of households.
Na Lang Son is currently present in many markets inside and outside the province such as Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh... In addition, consumption chains are also effective.
Chi Lang Agricultural Products Cooperative purchased products in Chi Lang and Van Linh communes to put into the system of clean, supermarket fruit stores, with an average output of 1-2 tons/day.
People proactively sell through e-commerce platforms and social networks such as Zalo, Facebook, TikTok...
Previously, on August 23, in the Lung Than na growing area, Lung Cut village, Chi Lang na market and Chi Lang grazing historical relic site, a livestream session was held to sell na. Participating as the main character introducing and selling fruit is Mr. Vi Thien Viet, Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Chi Lang Commune People's Committee with the support of TikToker "Ms. Hen".
After less than 1 hour of livestreaming, more than 5 tons of the fruit were "closed", a number that made the people unable to hide their joy.
Mr. Vi Thien Viet, Chairman of Chi Lang Commune People's Committee, shared: "We want to bring Chi Lang na fruit directly to consumers, so that not only Lang Son people but also the whole country know the sweet taste of this specialty fruit. This is a new approach, but we believe it will open up a sustainable direction for farmers.
