On May 17, the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai province said that the goal in 2025 is to increase the added value of the agricultural - forestry - fishery sector by 4.9% or more and strive to achieve a total export turnover of agricultural - forestry - fishery products of about 770 million USD.
To realize this goal, the province has stepped up support for businesses in trade promotion activities, expanding markets, and enhancing connections and exchanges with neighboring economic regions.
Gia Lai encourages businesses to increase product value, focusing on key products with export strengths such as rubber, cassava starch, processed foods, tea, coffee, pepper, fruits, etc.

In addition, the province's agricultural products and OCOP products are also put on e-commerce platforms, contributing to expanding distribution channels and reaching domestic and foreign consumers.
The province also promotes regional linkages, developing clusters for production - preservation - processing - consumption of agricultural products associated with synchronously mechanized raw material areas. The connection of logistics systems and agricultural product consumption channels is focused on to ensure an effective supply chain.
With preferential mechanisms and policies, Gia Lai continues to attract businesses and cooperatives to invest in the agricultural sector, promote the development of key agricultural products, and contribute to bringing local agricultural products to the international market.
Total export turnover in 2020 reached 580 million USD; in 2021 reached 630 million USD; in 2022 reached 660 million USD; in 2023 reached 680 million USD; and in 2024 reached 820 million USD.
In particular, in the first 4 months of 2025, it reached 685 million USD, equivalent to 80% of the annual plan, up 55.8% over the same period. This is a large growth rate and a bright spot in the province's import-export activities.
