Consumers increasingly prefer Vietnamese goods
Visiting the fruit display area of a supermarket on An Phu Street (Thu Duc City), Ms. Nguyen Kieu Phuong (living in Thu Duc City) chose 2kg of butter 034 originating from Lam Dong at a 50% discount.
I often buy Vietnamese fruits and agricultural products because of their delicious quality and family taste. Supermarkets also regularly have promotional programs for these items, so I also buy them to use, contributing to supporting farmers" - Ms. Phuong shared.
According to Lao Dong, in supermarket systems in Ho Chi Minh City, products with geographical indications of Vietnam are discounted from 30-50%. OCOP-certified fruits also have attractive prices to stimulate purchasing power.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan - Commercial Director of MM Mega Market Vietnam said that the unit has heavily discounted prices for agricultural products, vegetables, fruits and vegetables nationwide, with a reduction of up to 50%. In addition, the supermarket also launched weekend discount programs for member customers.
These stimulus programs not only expand sustainable output for Vietnamese agricultural products, but also increase the value and affirm the quality of domestic products in the eyes of consumers. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of the program "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", promoting domestic consumption and strengthening national production.
A major driving force for economic growth
According to Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, promotional programs with deep discounts play a very important role in stimulating consumption. "Consumers having the opportunity to access quality products at preferential prices will create a strong spillover effect, boost purchasing power and thereby lead to economic growth momentum" - Mr. Phuong emphasized.
In fact, thanks to the fierce participation of businesses and distribution systems, the Ho Chi Minh City market has recorded many positive signals.
