Recently, the Ministry of Finance has recorded many reports from people and businesses about the appearance of forged documents of the Ministry, forged seals and signatures of leaders of the Ministry of Finance, as well as impersonated the Ministry's Electronic Information Portal and fanpage to commit fraud.
The subjects often use the name of a state agency, using the name of the Ministry of Finance to ask people to transfer money in the name of "recovering the defrauded money"; forging fanpages and websites with interfaces similar to the official page to lure people to conduct transactions.
A sophisticated trick is to target the psychology of people who have just become victims of online scams. When these people seek help or "money collection support services" online, the subjects continue to impersonate organizations and state agencies to appropriate money for the second time.
The Ministry of Finance recommends that people and businesses absolutely do not transfer money to unofficial accounts or websites or fanpages. People need to be alert, vigilant and not provide personal information to strangers in cyberspace, especially in financial transactions.
When detecting signs of forgery and fraud, people need to promptly report it to the authorities for support in handling, avoiding unfortunate damage.
Currently, the Ministry of Finance is coordinating with competent authorities to verify, clarify and handle acts of forging documents, seals and signatures of leaders of the Ministry of Finance, as well as acts of taking advantage of the Ministry's name to commit illegal acts.
Previously, on March 31, 2025, the Ministry of Finance warned about a Facebook page named "Receiving Capital Reversal and hoan traback Processing of Treo" claiming to be a representative of the Ministry of Finance to "recovering money" for victims who were scammed.

On May 30, 2025, the Ministry once again issued a notice about the situation of forging documents, seals, and signatures of the leaders of the Ministry and affiliated units, as well as forging websites and fanpages to commit fraud through money transfer requests.
