Similarly, the price of Brazilian black pepper sold to the market is 5,900 USD/ton (about 155,229 VND/kg). However, black and white Malaysian pepper still maintain the same price range, trading at high prices, respectively 12,200 USD/ton and 9,300 USD/ton.
Notably, in Vietnam's pepper export market, black pepper prices of 500 g/l and 550 g/l are traded at 5,990 - 6,050 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 8,400 USD/ton (equivalent to 221,004 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
One of the outstanding successes of Vietnamese pepper in this period is the expansion of market share in Germany - an important import market of the EU. In May 2026, Vietnam exported 1,796 tons of pepper to this market, accounting for 60.2% of Germany's total imports.
The shift in supply structure in Germany is taking place in a direction favorable to Vietnam. This not only reflects stable supply capacity but also shows the superior competitiveness of Vietnamese pepper quality in the European market.
According to purchasing businesses, the domestic pepper supply is no longer abundant because most of the output has been consumed from the beginning of the season. However, because purchasing power in the market has not shown signs of a sudden increase, prices mainly fluctuate in a narrow range.
