On July 5, the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Construction announced that the unit had just issued a newly updated price list of construction materials (sand, stone, bricks, etc.) to the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities across the province.
According to the Department of Construction, recently, the prices of some materials such as sand, stone, filling materials... have increased abnormally, greatly affecting investment costs and construction progress of key national and local projects.
To promptly rectify, the unit has established an inspection team to list prices at material mines, and at the same time, built a new price list to closely follow market fluctuations and the exploitation capacity of enterprises.
The price update aims to contribute to stabilizing the market, ensuring the progress of key projects and civil works.
Mr. Vo Ke Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Dak Lak province - said that after the new 102 communes and wards came into operation, the unit has requested localities to review and closely monitor fluctuations in common materials prices.
This is the basis for the department to update the price list in accordance with reality, helping investors prepare and adjust estimates and contracts in accordance with regulations.
However, the announced price list is for reference only to establish and manage investment costs, not used for settlement. The settlement must be made in accordance with current legal regulations.
Timely price announcement will help contractors remove difficulties, control investment costs and ensure the quality and progress of projects in the area.
