On June 23, the leader of Quy Nhon Fishing Port (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh) said that a cargo ship had water damage and overturned while anchored in the Ham Tu Bridge area, Quy Nhon Fishing Port area.

According to initial information, at around 10:30 p.m. on June 22, the cargo ship with registration number KH-1349 hired by Mr. L.V.S (residing in Quy Nhon City) from Khanh Hoa province to transport construction materials to Nhon Chau island commune (Quy Nhon City) suddenly had water damage and overturned.
The incident caused all 50 tons of construction materials, mainly cement, a few paving stones, steel... to sink right at the port area. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.
Immediately after discovering the incident, the ship owner urgently hired a vehicle to suck all the oil on the ship, so there was no oil spill into the environment.
As of the afternoon of June 23, the ship owner is in contact with units to organize the salvage of goods to shore and rescue the ship in distress.
