World oil prices today
World gasoline and oil prices have just recorded a sharp decrease. At the end of yesterday's trading session (May 13), WTI and Brent oil prices decreased by 1.14% and 2% respectively.
By this morning's trading session, the world oil market was struggling, with unclear trends. At 7:42 am (Vietnam time), WTI oil price traded around 101.02 USD/barrel, while Brent oil was at 105.6 USD/barrel, almost unchanged compared to the closing price of the previous session.
In the previous session, WTI oil closed at 101.02 USD/barrel and opened this morning's session at 101.06 USD/barrel. Brent oil closed at 105.64 USD/barrel and opened the new session at 105.65 USD/barrel.
According to analysts, oil prices fell sharply due to investors' concerns that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) may continue to raise interest rates to control inflation if price pressure has not cooled down.
Experts believe that the conflict in the Middle East is beginning to have a negative impact on the US economy. The sharp increase in oil prices recently has caused fuel costs to escalate, increasing inflationary pressure and possibly affecting economic activity in the coming months.
Besides the interest rate factor, the market also focused its attention on the meeting in Beijing between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
It is expected that the two leaders will focus on discussing trade issues rather than tensions related to the conflict with Iran. However, Washington has recently continued to increase pressure on Tehran by threatening banks and imposing additional sanctions on entities related to Iran's oil sales to China - Iran's largest crude oil importer.

On May 14, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:
The retail price of gasoline and oil in the country mentioned above was adjusted by the inter-ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3:00 PM on May 7.
Recently, Petrolimex has announced the retail price of E10 RON 95-V bio-gasoline. The price is as follows:
The above selling price is applied from 24:00 on May 12, 2026.

Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, according to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may decrease.
In which:
- RON 95 - III gasoline reduced by about 520 VND/liter;
- E5 RON 92 - II gasoline reduced by about 890 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil decreased by about 600 VND/liter.
