World gasoline prices today
World gasoline and oil prices are on a sharp downward trend. At the end of yesterday's trading session (January 15), WTI and Brent oil prices decreased by 4.65% and 4.15% respectively.
By this morning's session, both oil products continued their downward trend. At 12:23 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 59.08 USD/barrel, down 0.11 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.19%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 59.19 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at a price of 59.30 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 63.61 USD/barrel, down 0.15 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.24%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 63.76 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at 63.82 USD/barrel.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On January 16, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:
The above-mentioned domestic retail gasoline and oil prices are adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on January 15, 2025.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline increased by 143 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 152 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 226 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 138 VND/liter; mazut oil decreased by 2 VND/kg.

The discount rates for gasoline and oil products today, January 16, at some domestic gasoline and oil businesses are as follows:

+ Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong: Diesel oil 0.05S - II: 350 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 550 VND/liter.
+ Bac Ninh warehouse: Diesel oil 0.05S - II: 200 VND/liter; gasoline RON 95 - III: 400 VND/liter.
+ Nghi Son warehouse: RON 95 - III gasoline: 550 VND/liter
- Tu Luc Petroleum Joint Stock Company 1:
+ Dinh Vu Warehouse: Diesel 0.05S - II: 300 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: 300 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 500 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 500 VND/liter.
+ Hai Linh Refinery: Diesel 0.05S: 400 VND/liter.
- MIPEC - MIPEC Petro Trading and Trading Co., Ltd. (applied to the Northern region):
+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 500 VND/liter.

Forecast of domestic gasoline and oil prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, domestic gasoline and oil prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may have opposite adjustments in the direction of gasoline prices slightly decreasing and oil prices increasing.
