Gasoline and oil prices today 9.1: Simultaneously increase

World gasoline prices today

World gasoline and oil prices are on a slight recovery trend. At the end of yesterday's trading session (January 8), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 3.2% and 3.4% respectively.

By this morning's session, both oil products continued their recovery trend. At 10:58 am (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 58.08 USD/barrel, up 0.32 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.55%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 57.76 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at a price of 58.39 USD/barrel.

Brent oil was at 62.37 USD/barrel, up 0.38 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 61%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 61.99 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at 62.75 USD/barrel.

Domestic gasoline prices today

On January 9th, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:

The above-mentioned domestic retail gasoline and oil prices are adjusted by the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on September 8, 2025

Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 205 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline decreased by 357 VND/liter; diesel oil decreased by 194 VND/liter; kerosene decreased by 135 VND/liter; mazut oil increased by 58 VND/kg.

The discount rates for gasoline and oil products today, January 9, at some domestic gasoline and oil businesses are as follows:

+ Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong: Diesel oil 0.05S - II: 600 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 700 VND/liter.

+ Bac Ninh warehouse: Diesel oil 0.05S - II: 450 VND/liter; gasoline RON 95 - III: 550 VND/liter.

+ Nghi Son Refinery: Diesel 0.05S - II: 650 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 750 VND/liter

- Tu Luc Petroleum Joint Stock Company 1:

+ Diesel 0.05S - II: 600 VND/liter;

+ Diesel 0.001S-V: Out of stock

+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 700 VND/liter;

+ E5 gasoline: 700 VND/liter.

According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may decrease.
