World oil price today
Today's gasoline prices continue to increase. At 10:13 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 72.03 USD/barrel, up 0.74 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.04%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 71.29 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 74.77 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 74.92 USD/barrel, up 0.69 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.92%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 74.23 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 77.88 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices continue to increase strongly and remain high. Last week, WTI oil increased by 13%, Brent oil increased by 11.67%, marking the second consecutive strongest increase. Entering the first session of this week, the increase in oil prices has not stopped.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 16, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of June 12, 2025. Accordingly, domestic gasoline prices have increased simultaneously.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 199 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline price increased by 269 VND/liter, diesel price increased by 280 VND/liter, kerosene price increased by 227 VND/liter and mazut price increased by 283 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the upcoming price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase sharply.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 1,190 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 1,070 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 1,030 VND/liter.
