World oil price today
Today's gasoline prices all decreased. At 11:32 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 67.91 USD/barrel, down 0.23 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.34%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 68.15 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 68.72 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 69.48 USD/barrel, down 0.29 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.42%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 69.77 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 69.97 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices have continuously recorded unexpected developments in recent trading sessions. In yesterday's session (11.), oil prices increased by more than 4%. At the end of the trading session on June 11, Brent and WTI oil prices increased by 4.34% and 4.88%, respectively, to 68.15 USD/barrel, the highest level since the beginning of April.
By this morning's session, both oil products suddenly turned to decrease.
According to analysts, oil traders increased after the news that the US was preparing to evacuate the Embassy in Iraq due to concerns about increased security in the Middle East. Another factor keeping oil prices high is positive information about a trade deal between the US and China, which could boost energy demand in the world's two largest economies.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 12, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of June 5, 2025. Accordingly, domestic gasoline prices have increased simultaneously. E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 67 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 133 VND/liter, diesel price increased by 284 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 176 VND/liter. However, mazut oil prices decreased by 86 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 280 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 200 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 280 VND/liter.
