World oil price today
World oil prices are on a deep decline. At the end of yesterday's trading session, WTI and Brent oil prices decreased by 2.71% and 2.73%, respectively, to the lowest level in the past 5 years.
By this morning's session, both oil products tended to recover.
At 11:04 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil price was at 55.82 USD/barrel, up 0.69 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.25%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 55.13 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 55.14 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 69.62 USD/barrel, up 0.70 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.19%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 68.82 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 58.86 USD/barrel.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On December 17, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on December 11.
Accordingly, gasoline prices decreased by VND 207-378/liter; oil prices decreased by VND 43-252/liter. Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by 207 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline decreased by 378 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 226 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 252 VND/liter and mazut decreased by 43 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 410 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 360 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 640 VND/liter.
