World oil price today
World oil prices today fluctuated slightly. At 11:01 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 65.44 USD/barrel, down 0.01 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.2%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 75.45 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 65.43 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 67.13 USD/barrel, up slightly by 0.03 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.04%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 67.14 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 67.19 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are currently unclear in trend after yesterday's slight increase (July 1). At the end of the session on July 1, WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 0.5% and 0.6%, respectively.
According to analysts, world oil prices increased slightly as investors assessed positive signals about energy demand, while cautiously watching the upcoming meeting of OPEC+ to decide on production policy for August.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On July 2, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the joint venture of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade since 0:00 on July 1, after the policy of reducing 2% of value added tax under Resolution No. 204/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly officially took effect.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by 101 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 128 VND/liter; diesel price increased by 193 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 141 VND/liter; mazut decreased by 668 VND/kg compared to the previous period.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease sharply.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to decrease by about 1,300 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 1,200 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 1,000 VND/liter
