World oil prices today
World gasoline and oil prices are on a strong upward trend. At the end of yesterday's trading session (January 28), WTI and Brent oil prices increased by 1.31% and 1.23% respectively.
By this morning's session, both oil commodities continued to rise. At 12:19, WTI crude oil was at 64.16 USD/barrel, up 0.95 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.50%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at a price of 63.21 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at a price of 63.42 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 68.19 USD/barrel, up 0.82 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 1.22%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 67.37 USD/barrel; and opened today's session at 67.54 USD/barrel.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On January 29, retail gasoline and oil prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 are as follows:
The retail price of gasoline and oil in the country mentioned above will be adjusted by the inter-ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance from 3 pm on January 22, 2025.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 93 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline decreased by 81 VND/liter; diesel oil increased by 413 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 253 VND/liter; mazut oil increased by 471 VND/kg.

The discount rates for gasoline and oil products today, January 29th, at some domestic gasoline and oil businesses are as follows:

+ Hai Linh Warehouse, Hai Phong: RON 95 - III gasoline: 350 VND/liter.
+ Bac Ninh Warehouse: RON 95 - III gasoline: 200 VND/liter.
+ Nghi Son Warehouse: RON 95 - III gasoline: 350 VND/liter.
- Tu Luc Petroleum Joint Stock Company 1:
+ Diesel oil 0.05S - II: 0 VND/liter;
+ Diesel oil 0.001S-V: 0 VND/liter;
+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 450 VND/liter;
+ E5 gasoline: 450 VND/liter.
- MIPEC Petroleum Trading and Trading Co., Ltd. - MIPEC Petro (applied to the Northern region):
+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 400 VND/liter.
+ Diesel oil 0.05S-II: 400 VND/liter.
+ Diesel oil 0.05S: 100 VND/liter.
Domestic gasoline and oil price forecast for the next period
According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, domestic gasoline and oil prices will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may adjust in opposite directions.
In which, it is forecast that the price of RON 95 - III gasoline will increase by about 140 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline may not fluctuate or increase slightly by 0-50 VND/liter; Diesel oil will increase by about 400 VND/liter.
