World oil price today
World oil prices today turned to decrease sharply. At the end of the weekend trading session, WTI crude oil was at 58.29 USD/barrel, down 0.95 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.6%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 69.24 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 58.99 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 61.29 USD/barrel, down 0.84 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.35%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 62.13 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 61.82 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices are fluctuating very strongly. After the price increase in the previous session and yesterday morning's session, oil prices suddenly turned down sharply.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On May 3, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of April 24, 2025. Accordingly, gasoline products have increased in price. E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 740 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 782 VND/liter, diesel increased by 487 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 531 VND/liter and mazut increased by 564 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease.
In particular, gasoline prices are forecast to decrease by about 50 - 100 VND/liter; oil prices decrease by about 100 - 300 VND/liter/kg.
According to the notice from the Ministry of Industry and Trade on adjusting the time of operating the petrol price on the occasion of the holidays 30.4–1.5.2025, due to the period of periodic price operating (Thursday) coincides with the International Labor Holiday, the next operating period will be back to the first working day after the ceremony, ie Monday, 5.525.
