World oil price today
Today's gasoline prices increased simultaneously. At 10:37 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at 62.94 USD/barrel, up 0.42 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.67%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 62.52 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 62.97 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 64.96 USD/barrel, up 0.33 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.51%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 64.63 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 65.08 USD/barrel.
World oil prices are on a very strong upward trend. In yesterday's trading session, there were times when both WTI and Brent oil skyrocketed, surpassing the 63 USD/barrel and 65 USD/barrel respectively, equivalent to an increase of over 4%. Although the increase afterwards somewhat subsided, at the end of the session, both oil products still recorded an increase of over 3%.
According to analysts, the main reason for the increase in oil prices is due to serious forest fires in Alberta province (Canada) that interrupted about 7% of the country's total crude oil production as of 2.6. In addition, the weakness of the dollar on a large scale, due to concerns of negative impacts from tariff policies, also contributes to pushing high oil prices.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On June 3, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 29, 2025. Accordingly, petroleum products have adjusted in opposite directions with slight increases in gasoline prices and decreases in oil prices.
E5 RON 92 gasoline price increased by 74 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 33 VND/liter, diesel price decreased by 269 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 206 VND/liter and mazut oil decreased by 248 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may increase.
In particular, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 80 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline increases by about 10 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 220 VND/liter.
