World oil prices today
World oil prices today turned down. At 10:09, WTI crude oil was at 73.93 USD/barrel, down 0.03 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.04%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 73.96 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 74.10 USD/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $76.47 a barrel, down $0.04 a barrel, or 0.05 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $76.51 a barrel and opened today at $75.58 a barrel.
Thus, ending a week of strong increases, world oil prices today all turned to decrease. According to analysts, the data shows that consumption demand is weaker than expected, the market may fluctuate immediately. This week, US employment data will be announced, oil prices may also be affected by this data.
However, world oil prices are still supported by many factors. Among them, China - the world's leading oil importer - has continuously announced plans to boost economic activities, stimulating the market to warm up again. The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of January 2, 2025. Accordingly, the prices of all gasoline and oil products increased simultaneously. E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND 240/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by VND 199/liter, diesel increased by VND 125/liter, kerosene increased by VND 126/liter, and fuel oil increased by VND 129/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices will continue to increase. Of which, gasoline prices will increase by about 300-400 VND/liter; oil prices will increase by about 540 VND/liter.
