Thus, world oil prices today increased sharply after previous deep declines. According to Reuters, last weekend, China - the world's second largest economy - announced the imposition of an additional 34% tax on US goods to respond to a series of new tariffs from President Donald Trump. In response, the US President warned that he would continue to impose an additional 50% tax if Beijing did not withdraw retaliatory measures.
In the context of escalating trade tensions, experts predict the possibility of an economic recession in the US and globally could reach 60%.
Not only worried about the risk of recession, the market is also under pressure from the policies of the Donald Trump administration, which are expected to push commodity prices higher.
