Regarding this decision, Golden Gate said that it has received a notice from the SSC and from now on will operate under the model of a joint-stock company that is not a public company as prescribed by law.
According to the enterprise, the cancellation of the status of a public company stems from the fact that the company has not carried out securities registration procedures at the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC), as well as has not registered for stock trading as prescribed.
Golden Gate affirms that this is only a legal change, not reflecting changes in business operations, financial capacity, quality of management or development strategy of the enterprise; does not affect regular business operations, legitimate rights and interests of shareholders as well as commitments to customers, partners and employees.
Regarding the plan for initial public offering (IPO) and listing on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE), Golden Gate said that it has not yet implemented securities registration procedures at VSDC and registered share trading according to the previously planned roadmap. This is to continue to complete the IPO plan to choose a suitable time, optimize business value and long-term benefits for shareholders.
According to Golden Gate, participating in the capital market is still a long-term strategic orientation. Before deploying IPO, businesses will continue to prioritize building a sustainable growth platform, improving operational efficiency and perfecting the management system. The cancellation of the status of a public company does not change the IPO orientation and will carry out necessary procedures when market conditions and development plans are appropriate.
Mr. Dao The Vinh - General Director of Golden Gate - said: "The decision to change the status of a public company does not change Golden Gate's long-term development orientation. We remain steadfast in the goal of building a business with a transparent, efficient and sustainable management platform before participating in the capital market. Golden Gate will continue to prepare for the IPO plan when the conditions are appropriate to bring the best value to shareholders as well as make a positive contribution to the development of the Vietnamese capital market".
