Market Management Team No. 1 - Market Management Department of Hai Duong province has just organized a monitoring of the destruction of a large amount of violating goods, which are poor quality food, unknown origin, smuggled and do not ensure safety for use.
This is evidence seized from 3 typical cases during the peak month of inspection and handling of violations deployed by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development, and the Hai Duong Market Management Department.
The three violators, including Thien Trang Cosmetics Business Household, Thien Vu Food Trading Company Limited and Pham Van Thang Business Household (all in Hai Duong City) were administratively sanctioned with a total amount of more than 150 million VND.
Notably, in the violating shipment, there were 70 boxes of "The Sun" green rice identified as poor quality food due to not meeting the announced targets.
Nearly 22,000 quality fake functional food pills were also handed over to the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police for investigation and criminal handling under Article 195 of the Penal Code. The violator was also fined for 4 other acts and had 2,150 knotted ropes worth nearly 65 million VND confiscated.
All of the violating goods, including many foods of unknown origin such as dried tea, banana milk, coconut milk juice, powdered milk tea, etc., were forced to be destroyed at Minh Phuc Green Environment Company (Binh Giang District).
