A major fire broke out at a cluster of factories located on Provincial Road 391, Hung Dao Commune, Tu Ky District (Hai Duong Province), causing heavy damage to 4 businesses and a household.
According to people in Tu Ky district (Hai Duong province), at around 9pm, they discovered a fire breaking out fiercely at Hua Hong Vietnam Technology Development Company Limited. This is a business specializing in processing, spraying paint, and dyeing plastic, so the fire spread very quickly. Earlier, someone heard a loud explosion coming from this area.
The hot and windy weather caused the fire to quickly spread to three neighboring businesses including: Tong Hao Vietnam Plastic Company Limited, Vinamek Electromechanical Joint Stock Company and Thien Loi Emberrance Company Limited. Part of the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, near the fire area, was also seriously affected by fire and smoke and dust.
Immediately after receiving the report, Hai Duong Provincial Police dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to coordinate in extinguishing the fire. At the time of the fire, many workers who were working overtime were promptly evacuated safely.
By around 5am on June 3, the fire was basically under control. However, at 7:00 a.m., the fire continued to flare up again at the factory of Tong Hao Vietnam Plastic Company Limited, accompanied by a column of black smoke rising tens of meters high.
