Investment project to build LG Innotek Hai Phong Semiconductor Packaging Socket Factory in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (Zone 2) under Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone.
The project implements the production of semiconductor packaging base; leasing workshops, offices, warehouses and other constructions built to serve production and business, invested by LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. The project implementation location is within the scope of Hai Phong City Free Trade Zone. The expected land area is 323,812 m2. Total investment capital is 1 billion USD. The expected start time of the project is in 2026, trial operation in the third quarter of 2027, official operation and mass production in the third quarter of 2028.
Regarding the investor, LG Innotek Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. was established in September 2016 with the first investment project in Trang Due Industrial Park with a capital of 550 million USD. The company built the V1 factory specializing in manufacturing camera modules, and to date, has completed the V3 factory with a total registered investment capital of more than 2 billion USD. LG Innotek has been and is making positive contributions to the socio-economy of Hai Phong by maintaining stable export growth momentum and creating a high-quality working environment for thousands of workers.
According to Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Chau, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee unanimously agreed with the investment policy of the LG Innotek Hai Phong Semiconductor Packaging Socket Production Plant Project. This will be the first project in Hai Phong Free Trade Zone, large-scale, with industries belonging to the priority investment attraction of the city. The City Party Secretary assigned the City Party Committee and People's Committee to direct the City People's Committee and the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board to implement the steps according to their authority, in accordance with regulations, ensuring that the project is started in the third quarter of 2026.
