At noon on January 12, Market Management Team No. 11, Hai Phong City Market Management Sub-Department, in coordination with Gia Loc Commune Police, conducted a surprise inspection of a food business establishment owned by Mr. Nguyen Van T, located in Cao Duong New Urban Area, Gia Loc commune.
At the time of inspection, the inspection team discovered that the business establishment had business activities since December 2025, but had not registered for business as prescribed. At the same time, the warehouse contained more than 3,500 packages of beef meatballs; 270 packages of fish skin steak; 3,600 packages of chicken wings... The above goods are unused goods, packaged in nylon bags, and the packaging does not record information about the origin and source of the goods.
All of the above goods (foodstuffs) are goods of unknown origin, not ensuring safety and quality when circulating on the market, with the risk of harming human health when used. The total value of goods is over 9 million VND calculated according to the listed price on the product. Market Management Team No. 11 has issued a decision to recall and destroy products and administratively fine the business establishment with the amount of 15.5 million VND.
In the coming time, implementing the Peak Plan against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the last months of the year, before, during and after the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, Market Management Team No. 11 will continue to inspect business establishments, ensure quality and standard goods sources, and prevent food safety products in the area.
