A series of gas stations belonging to the Petrolimex and PVoil systems have completed the conversion from RON95-V mineral gasoline to E10 gasoline from May.
Recorded at some gas stations on routes such as Dien Bien Phu, Hai Ba Trung, Vo Thi Sau..., signs and pumps have been changed with identification information about E10 gasoline. Many stores also proactively stopped importing more traditional mineral gasoline from mid-May to prepare for the process of completely switching to biofuel.

I have used E10 gasoline many times and found that the car still operates normally, the engine does not show signs of sluggishness or significantly higher fuel consumption" - Mr. Hoang Dinh Tuan (resident of Binh Thanh ward) shared after refueling at a store on Dien Bien Phu street.

According to representatives of gasoline and oil business stores, the deployment of E10 gasoline aims to contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, diversifying fuel sources and gradually promoting the use of clean energy. Compared to conventional mineral gasoline, E10 gasoline is mixed with 10% bio-ethanol, which is more environmentally friendly.

At other private gas stations in the city, the pumping system has been adjusted and identification information has been updated to meet the business requirements of the new fuel.
Representatives of the Sub-Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology) said that through the process of regularly surveying the market and monitoring the reality since key enterprises such as Petrolimex and PVOIL put E10 gasoline into testing from August 2025 to now, functional agencies have not recorded any reflections or complaints from people related to technical incidents or affecting machinery and vehicles.
According to representatives of the Sub-Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality, many independent scientific research topics with strict evaluation procedures have also been implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with leading specialized units, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the University of Transport.
Practical results show that E10 gasoline has a high compatibility with engine lines currently circulating in Vietnam, similar to the process of switching to E5 gasoline before.
In a large consumption market like Ho Chi Minh City, the management and supervision of this item are clearly assigned to ensure market stability. In which, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade is responsible for licensing, managing supply and demand, prices and ensuring the implementation roadmap. The Department of Science and Technology regularly checks measurement and quality indicators, helping people feel secure in using E10 gasoline without worrying" - a representative of the Sub-Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality informed.
In addition, to ensure consumer rights in this large-scale transition, the entire legal corridor and technical standards applied to E10 gasoline have also been issued synchronously.
