In the days leading up to Tet, the ornamental flower market in Ho Chi Minh City is starting to become bustling as gardeners from all over continuously bring goods to serve the needs of spring play. Among them, Northern peach blossoms continue to be a choice sought after by many customers.
At 23/9 park, from the 21st day of the twelfth lunar month, many gardeners have gathered peach blossoms here for business. According to records, the number of peach blossoms this year has increased in both supply and sellers. Many small traders said that thanks to abundant supply, the selling price from the early days is quite soft, only from about 300,000 VND, customers can choose a peach tree to display for Tet.

Mr. Phan Ngoc Ha, representative of Bac Cuong peach garden, said that this year his family transported about 500 peach trees from northern provinces to Ho Chi Minh City. "My family moved about 500 trees, equivalent to nearly 2 containers. Peach trees were brought in on the evening of December 19th of the lunar calendar. Up to now, my family has sold about 250 trees already," Mr. Ha shared.
According to Mr. Ha, purchasing power this year has positive signals as customers tend to buy earlier. This year, customers prefer huyền peach and cụ peach more. These two lines are asked to buy continuously because of their beautiful shape, uniform flowers and classic features.

Attached to the Tet peach blossom market in Ho Chi Minh City for more than 10 years, Mr. Phat (from Hung Yen) said that this year he brought about 700 peach trees into the city. In just 4 days of opening for sale, he has consumed more than 500 trees, with prices ranging from 250,000 VND to 1 million VND per pot. "I sell at reasonable prices, advise customers to choose beautiful peach branches, so many people are very satisfied. Some customers buy 4-5 pots in a row to decorate their houses and give to relatives," Mr. Phat said.

Not only at September 23rd Park, but also at familiar flower and ornamental plant selling points such as Gia Dinh Park or Le Van Tam Park, peach blossoms are also displayed densely. To protect flowers from heat, many gardeners have to cover each tree with tarpaulin and nylon to maintain freshness and limit bud drops.
Recorded at points of sale, many customers spend time carefully consulting before choosing a satisfactory tree. Ms. Minh Anh (resident of Binh Thanh ward) said that her family buys Northern peach blossoms every year to display for Tet. "Northern peach blossoms have very characteristic shapes and flowers, looking at them, you can see the Tet atmosphere. This year I went to buy early because I was afraid that near Tet prices would increase or beautiful trees would run out," Ms. Minh Anh shared.
The buying and selling atmosphere at flower and ornamental plant business locations is therefore becoming even more vibrant as Tet Nguyen Dan is approaching. For gardeners, this is the most important time of the year, deciding the majority of revenue after many months of care, transportation and waiting.
