On August 27, at the 4th thematic session, the 8th Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, approved the list of land plots for bidding to select investors for land-using investment projects for 8 wind and solar power projects.
According to the submission of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the list proposed for supplementation includes 4 wind power projects and 4 solar power projects, with a total expected capacity of 821.9 MW, land use demand of about 569.9 ha.
The addition of the list is the basis for carrying out procedures for approving investment policies, inviting interest and bidding to select investors according to regulations.
In the wind power project group, the EEC Khanh Hoa Wind Power Plant is proposed to be implemented in Nam Cam Ranh and Cong Hai communes, with a capacity of 100 MW, using about 34.95 hectares of land with a term.
TDX Khanh Hoa 1 wind power plant is proposed in Cam Lam commune, with a capacity of 100 MW, the demand for use is about 6.614 hectares of land with a term. Most turbines are located at sea; the land area is mainly for transformer stations and connection lines.
The third project is Nexif Energy Khanh Hoa 1 Wind Power Plant, expected to be implemented in Ba Ngoi ward, Dong Khanh Son commune and Cam An commune, with a capacity of 102 MW, land use demand of about 35.6 ha.
The remaining wind power project is the expanded BIM wind power project phase 3, expected to be implemented in Thuan Nam commune, Ca Na commune and Phuoc Dinh commune, with a capacity of 120 MW, using about 42 hectares of land.
In the solar power group, Hacom Solar phase 2 solar power is proposed in Thuan Nam commune, with a capacity of 50 MW, using about 64 hectares of land.
Ninh Phuoc 1 solar power plant (phase 2) in Phuoc Hau commune has a capacity of 49.9 MW, land use demand is about 44.62 ha.
The remaining two projects include Phuoc Ninh solar power plant expansion phase 2 in Thuan Nam commune, with a capacity of 50 MW, using about 49.9 ha; and Dong Quan The solar power plant, also in Thuan Nam commune, with a designed capacity of 250 MW, land use demand of about 292.214 ha.
According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, the above projects have been reviewed for conformity with the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 and provincial planning.
For projects related to forest land, water surface, aquaculture or other fields, dossiers still require continuing to carry out specialized procedures according to regulations.
