Quang Ninh - There have been about 70 super luxury cruise ships registered to bring visitors to Ha Long in 2025, including many new ships arriving in Ha Long Bay for the first time.

According to information from the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism of Quang Ninh, from 2024 to now, cruise tourism activities in Quang Ninh have shown many signs of improvement, with the number of cruise tourists increasing and becoming vibrant again.

In 2025, there will be about 70 cruise ships, with nearly 90,000 international tourists from many markets of Europe, the US, Australia, Northeast Asia..., registering to dock at Ha Long International Passenger Port, an increase of about 30% compared to 2024.

In addition to high-class cruise ships that have come and returned to Ha Long many times, such as: Celebrity Solstice, Mein Schiff 6, Westerdam..., this year there are many new cruise ships such as: Brilliant Lady, Luminara, Pacific World... planned to bring tourists to visit and experience destinations in Quang Ninh.

In particular, on April 30, 2025, the super luxury cruise ship Pacific World managed and operated by Peace Boat Organization (Japan) brought about 1,700 tourists (mainly Japanese tourists) to Ha Long International Passenger Port.

This is also the first time Quang Ninh province has welcomed a group of cruise ship tourists by charter (on-trip charter), bringing tourists from Japan to Ha Long, opening up opportunities to promote cruise routes connecting Japanese ports with Quang Ninh, which is a positive signal from one of the key international tourist markets of Quang Ninh tourism, a potential market for high-income tourists.

In 2025, Quang Ninh set a target of welcoming about 20 million visitors, including about 4.5 million international visitors. In nearly the first 4 months of 2025, Quang Ninh province welcomed about 7.58 million tourists, an increase of 7% over the same period in 2024; of which, the number of international visitors reached nearly 1.6 million; total tourism revenue is estimated at VND18,310 billion, an increase of 26% over the same period in 2024.
