On June 11, in the Diet Pass peak area, belonging to Phu Yen and Muong Coi communes, Son La Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Northern Wind Energy Joint Stock Company to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the Risen Phu Yen Wind Power Plant Project.

The project is invested by Northern Wind Energy Joint Stock Company, with a designed capacity of 80MW, a total investment of 2,941 billion VND and a operating term of 50 years.
According to the plan, the project will be deployed for construction and equipment installation from the first quarter of 2027 to the second quarter of 2028 and is expected to be put into commercial operation immediately afterwards.

The project will use modern wind turbine technology from Shanghai Electric to optimize wind source exploitation efficiency, while ensuring stable operation in mountainous terrain conditions.
When put into operation, the plant is estimated to supply more than 250 million kWh of clean electricity per year to the national power system, contributing to the implementation of the green energy transition goal and the commitment to net "zero" emissions by 2050.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee, requested the investor to ensure sufficient resources to implement the project, and closely coordinate with local authorities in site clearance work.
At the same time, strictly comply with regulations on land, forestry and environmental protection; minimize impact on forest area, apply technical solutions to reduce impact on the landscape and lives of people in the project area.
