According to the Lai Chau Department of Agriculture and Environment, from the evening of June 8-9, heavy rain occurred in Pac Ta commune, causing landslides.
Accordingly, on the afternoon of June 9, in the mountain stream area of Mit Thai village, a landslide killed 3 young men residing in Pac Ta commune. Immediately after the incident occurred, local authorities mobilized forces and machinery to search for the victims.
By 3 pm on the same day, rescue forces discovered and removed the bodies of 3 victims from the landslide area, including: V.A. T (born 2001, residing in Mit Noi village), L.V. T (born 2000) and H.V. D (born 1997), all residing in Mit Thai village.

It is known that the victims went to the forest to work and encountered heavy rain, landslides from the mountain swept away and buried them, leading to death. The victims' bodies have been handed over to their families for burial according to local customs.
According to the Lai Chau Department of Agriculture and Environment, the rain from the evening of June 8-9 caused 15 households to have their houses flooded, and they must be urgently relocated to ensure safety.
Heavy rain also caused damage to 20 hectares of crops and flowers; 10 hectares of aquaculture area were flooded... Many traffic routes were landslides causing local congestion.
