Regarding the orientation of developing sugarcane material areas in a concentrated, large-scale, green production, circular and sustainable consumption linkage direction, on September 16, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested two leading enterprises, Agris Gia Lai Agriculture Joint Stock Company and An Khe Sugar Factory, to comply with the provisions of law, healthy competition, ensure harmony of interests between the State, businesses and sugarcane growers, and make positive contributions to the province's economic growth.
Gia Lai currently has the largest sugarcane area in the country with over 40,000ha. According to a report by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the past time, the above 2 enterprises have operated stably, invested in expanding scale, and improved production and processing capacity.
The two enterprises have oriented themselves to develop raw material areas, increase capacity, mechanize, green production, circulate and link with sugarcane growers.
However, it is necessary to continue to review and improve in the direction of clearly defining the scope of raw material areas, limiting overlap and unhealthy competition in sugarcane raw material purchasing between factories.

The agricultural sector orients to concretize the roadmap for deep processing, mechanisms to support sugarcane growers, emission reduction solutions, carbon credit development and the responsibility of businesses to the locality.
The two enterprises do not allow the situation of unstable purchasing, breaking the linkage of raw material areas, affecting the legitimate rights of sugarcane growers and the production activities of factories; violations must be inspected and handled in accordance with the law.
For Agris Gia Lai Agriculture Joint Stock Company, Gia Lai province requests to absolutely not allow development exceeding purchasing capacity, leading to prolonged harvest time, causing damage and risk to farmers; and at the same time, not to allow overlapping, disputes or disruption of stable operating linked areas.
